DUST HUSTLE 5: North Brisbane
“The Big Dance”
WHAT’S THE DEAL?
Everyones favourite event is now in it’s fourth year and it’s better than ever. A field of 120+ riders will pilot the most weird, wonderful and woefully unsuitable motorcycles on the professional dirt track in the best damn display of dirt and dust tomfoolery.
TELL ME MORE
You can expect everything that is great about the big show that is Dust Hustle™. Superbly stupid on track antics, the Food Truck Roundup with 10+ gourmet trucks, Trade Show alley stacked with stalls and a trackside bar to keep the spectators well lubed.
WHO’S GETTING INVOLVED?
Just over 120 lucky riders will sneak a spot for this event while thousands of spectators (literally thousands, we counted last year) will turn out to see some of the best value motorcycle entertainment. Never ridden on a pro track? Perfect, you’ll fit right in with this crowd!

THE TRACKS: DH5
1. “CHICKEN DRUMSTICK”
A favourite with the smaller bikes, the ‘Chicken Drumstick’ incorporates both the front and back doglegs at the track to create a tight hairpin at one end and the classic long sweeper at the other. With more turns on offer this track favours the nimble bikes that can carry corner speed and overtake under brakes.
2. “THE PEANUT”
Wind it up and let-her-rip for this layout! The big sweeper onto the long straight and the fast back dogleg are ideal for bigger bikes with speed to burn. The key for this one is to carry corner speed and remember “slidin’ for show, drivin’ for dough!”
THE CLASSES: DH5
1. CLUTCHLESS SCOOTER & POSTIE
All slushbox scooters and Postie bikes are accepted, no limit on engine size, but must be clutchless. Pit bikes under 150cc and other auto or clutchless bikes will also be accepted pending approval. We’ll expect a heightened amount of hand signals from this group of lazy left-hander’s!
2. RISKY ROAD BIKES
A road bike that is road legal (or close to), your daily ride, a weekend tarmac warrior or highway cruiser. You never know where the skills you pick up here will help you. Plus its inappropriate, so possibly the most fun and impressive category! No supersport bikes unfortunately, mums (MOMS) orders.
3. OLD MATES
Roll out the vintage and classic steeds; this pre 1990 only class is open to anything old and awesome. An eclectic mix of desert sleds and pan heads can opt to take part in this jalopy jive category. We hope there will be a number of $500 gumtree specials mixing it up in this category too!
4. ENDURO & MX
A class for those who regularly like to get their ‘plumbs in the crumbs’. We’ll expect some interesting outfits in this group, just for some extra ‘spice’ on these mainstream machines. Non-registered bikes are accepted, with no limit on engine size. Open to any Enduro or MX bikes, old and new.
